Calendula is best known for its skin-healing properties. The bright orange flower petals contain flavonoids and are traditionally used in salves, oils, and teas to support wound healing and soothe inflamed skin. Calendula is often incorporated into topical preparations for minor cuts, burns, and skin irritations.
Quantity
Steep 1-2 teaspoons in 8 oz of hot water for 10 minutes, strain, and drink or use topically. Use caution during pregnancy, while breastfeeding, or if allergic to ragweed, chrysanthemums, or plants in the aster family.
