Slippery elm comes from the inner bark of the slippery elm tree. When mixed with water, it creates a gel-like substance called mucilage that coats and soothes irritated tissues in the digestive tract.

Health Benefits

Slippery elm helps with acid reflux, heartburn, and inflammatory bowel conditions. It soothes sore throats, calms upset stomachs, supports healthy digestion and beneficial gut bacteria, and helps remove toxins.

How to Use

Mix one to two teaspoons of slippery elm bark powder with warm water to make a soothing tea. Add honey and lemon for flavor. Drink 30 minutes before meals or before bedtime. You can also add it to smoothies, oatmeal, or applesauce. Effects are cumulative, so consistent use over several weeks provides the best results.
