Sea moss (Irish moss) is a red algae found along Atlantic coastlines. It contains 92 of the 102 minerals the human body needs, including iodine, calcium, potassium, and magnesium. Sea moss has been used in traditional Caribbean and Irish remedies for centuries.

Health Benefits

Sea moss provides sustainable energy without stimulants. It supports thyroid function through its high iodine content, which regulates metabolism and hormone production. The mucilage content soothes digestive tract inflammation and acts as a prebiotic, feeding beneficial gut bacteria. Rich in collagen-building nutrients, sea moss supports skin elasticity, joint health, and wound healing. Its potassium chloride content helps break down mucus in respiratory passages, making it useful during cold season. Finally, its mineral profile supports electrolyte balance, muscle function, and bone density.

How to Use

Sea moss gel can be added to smoothies, teas, soups, used as a thickener in recipes, or eaten raw. It has a neutral taste and gel-like texture. At Vibrations, we feature sea moss in our Super Bowl Salad dressing, which combines the mineral benefits with a delicious flavor profile, and as an add-on to any drink.

Take 1-2 tablespoons of sea moss gel daily. Because of its high iodine content, people with thyroid conditions should consult their doctor before regular use.
